At Maruia River Retreat, our villas are outfitted to support a rejuvenating and deeper sleep experience with the most comfortable beds, pillows choices, luxury linens, blackout curtains and the sound of nature enveloping your private villa.

The terraces by the river’s edge are where Maruia truly becomes a haven. With idyllic views of the Maruia River and Estate gardens, guests have the privilege of choice of two Master villas - river or treetop - or five Luxe Villas.

On most weekends, our Resident Yoga teacher hosts a complimentary “The Magic of Better Sleep” workshop with practical applications and best practices to optimise your sleep and your day.

MASTER VILLA

There are two generous one-bedroom villas, offering a haven of seclusion, cosiness and relaxation for up to two (2) people per villa. With custom designed furnishings, cloud like bedding and a brand-new kitchenettes, guests are welcomed with a sense of home.

All the seven villas are fully self-contained with the addition of brand new kitchenettes, allowing flexibility and to encourage longer stays.

The Maruia River Retreat Estate is also home to five luxe villas for up to two (2) persons per villa, providing a cosy, private and intimate little apartment in the middle of the wilderness with exceptional and unrestricted garden, river and mountain views.
